This project aims to develop a modernized industrial motor control system that replaces an outdated Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with an Arduino-based solution. The system will leverage Arduino's versatility and affordability to precisely control the speed of a motor using a PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) control algorithm, while also monitoring and regulating the motor's field current. The unique aspect of this project is the integration of a thyristor stack, which will provide controlled power to the motor based on the Arduino's firing signals. This project will deliver a cost-effective, flexible, and efficient solution for industrial motor control applications.
